so we didn't win the sg burlesque contest. not such a big deal but surprising nonetheless. we play cleveland once every 3 months, so if y'all local and semi-locals want to catch a show, it won't be too hard. i was really looking forward to being of part of that, though. i'll still check it out if we don't book anything for that date.

what sucks is that i cancelled a headlining gig at peabody's that was supposed to happen a week before sg show. we had a nice guarantee worked out, and we were in complete control of all the opening bands.

this past weekend we played silk city (philly), ottobar (baltimore) and sin-e (nyc) with grand buffet. philly was just ok. baltimore and nyc flat out rocked. it was really cool to headline a hot nyc club and pack the mother fucker, especially when you're a band from a shit town in ohio. the promoter/booker who called me to get us to play told me there was a buzz about us in nyc, and it looks like he wasn't lying.

you can't even imagine what goes on when grand buffet and the party dream get together for a weekend. it's not so much that insane events happen, it's the shit that comes out of our mouths. my god! now i'll just start laughing uncontrollably at any given moment when i think about any one of many bizarre jokes/phrases uttered over the past few days.

i spent about 6 hours on the new party dream album last night. it's almost ready, and i'm stoked. word. we've been slackin' on our pimpin' for so long. it's about fucking time we put out something somewhat representative of our live set.
