I decided to watch as many films as I could stand since I had the house to myself for a three-day weekend. I logged 13 and don't want to watch anything again for quite some time.
Best of the lot: The Bridge on the River Kwai. Wartime films don't often live up to their reputation with me; this had me completely rivetted. That was one heck of a movie, and now I want to go to Ceylon and hike and swim in that waterfall that the commando group reaches on their march to the demolition site.
(Actually, about the only thing I miss about moving from Tennessee back to Georgia were all those amazing waterfalls we could visit only about an hour's drive from our old home in Chattamanooger. Can't have everything, though!)
