I finally earned my driver's license at the early age of 24... I'm such a loser. 
It just feels weird when something goes so easily for me, like i got away with murder or something. I spent only 8 or 9 hours behind the wheel and almost aced the driving test. I didn't even study the CA Driver's handbook and passed that with 2 questions to spare. 
To get my license, i went home for two weeks and again, remembered why i left. God, i have to stop doing that. My dad is still a bum but he's happy in his new house with his gourgeous new wife. My stepmother seems a lot happier than the last time i saw her. I still can't label her.
My grandmother though... She still tries to meddle and continues to try throwing money at me, like that would fix the years of spoiling and stagnation. How ironic is it that i treat my ailing grandmother like dirt and i get a bigger inheritance while my poor aunt and cousins(4 of them) call every holiday and birthday time. They're good people, loving family members yet they get stiffed in her "love". As vile as this may sound, when my grandmother finally keels over, as she is so fond of bringing up, i'm giving it all to my cousins. This way at least 2 of them can go to some form of college without any last ditch interference from our aging patriarch.
I'll go home for christmas but the next leave period will be in Denmark. Glory be to pot smokers and hookers.
Until then, i guess i'll just have to confine myself to exploring Iceland's countryside in my new car. I'm still torn between leasing the mercedes E class or buying the Buick LeSabre.
