Update on my dad:
He's feeling a little rough, but the ribs aren't doing too bad, and he came through the surgery on his shoulder on thursday well... They actually found what was causing him the troubles with the shoulder, so once he heals up things should be much better.. They had to shave a couple pieces of bone, and it sounds like the (or one of the) main tendons was like 75-80% torn, so they stretched it and stitched it back together.. So the poor guy is going to have his arm in a sling for a few weeks, but at least he finally got an answer after more than a couple years of testing....
As for me.. I could use the input from my friends here on something that has been bugging me the last few days...
As you may have noticed when I recently updated my profile pic, I have been letting my hair and beard grow out a bit.. For some reason I had/have been thinking of growing the beard out long enough to braid it, or maybe just keep it short... Not sure.. And have been also thinking of growing my hair out longer after keeping it buzzed short for several years.. Maybe go for the wild Einstein look, or grow it long enough to tie back...
However, the thing that has been bugging me a bit lately is that both the beard and the hair are starting to get a lot of gray in them.. especially the beard... I don't really feel like dyeing them, other than maybe for certain holidays and such.. (you know.. st. patty's day, un-birthdays, etc..)
So, my questions are:
1. Shave or continue to grow out a graying beard?
1.b. If you said grow for question 1, keep short, or grow it out so it can be braided.. (like a viking beard or something... )
2. Buzz or continue to grow out the hair?
2.b. If you said grow for question 2, Einstein look, or long enough to tie back?
And to make it easy, I'll throw in copies of me with the beard and slowly growing hair, and the before pic when I was mostly shaven, and buzzed hair:
On a side note:
After two years of trying to lose weight, I FINALLY seem to be starting to pull it off a bit.. I think some of it has to do with the ADHD meds they gave me... Since I started taking the meds I have managed todrop about 8 pounds in about 6 weeks... Here's hoping I can drop another 25 or so (maybe even 30) to get where I'd like to be..
