OK, I'm taking a page from Clara's book and making my entries private. No more freeloaders on this boat.
So yeah, Lotus liked her surprise. When she found out that I was gonna buy her a longboard, she was so excited she started jumping up and down, and then she hugged me. That was great.
She got a really sweet board, too. Then, on the bus, she asked me if I wanted to go back to her place. I guess she was more grateful than I thought. At least she didn't try to feed me pumpkin pie.
Speaking of feeding, we got *massive* falafels from Falafel King before wwe went to get the boards. Five bucks got you, like, four pounds of veggies wrapped up in a big-ass pita.
After Leningrad got off work, we all went and bombed around the local tech school campus for a few hours. I tried some crazy tricks, and there are apparently some very funny pics of me bailing.
Then Leningrad took us out for East Indian Easter dinner, courtesy of the good folks at Visa. Lotus was really, really weird. She was spinning around in circles outside, and licking out the bowls in the restaurant. Um, I'm not with this person.
So I stayed up for 28 hours (I'd worked 12 hours the night before and had met up with Lo directly afterward), got a sunburn on my neck, face and scalp, ate way too much and did what felt like horrific damage to my right knee from all that boarding. But I got to hang with Lotus, and she gave that great reaction. A very good day, overall.
Oh yeah, and the house 'puter won't be back for a few weeks, so my SG access is gonna be pretty sporadic. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I am.
But not intentionally.
