So I've got this friend. We had a fling once, when we first met, most of a year ago now. Ever since, I've either had a crush on her
or not been talking to her.
But I think - I *think* - we've got it right now. We're spending a lot more time together, both seeing other people (or at least looking to do so), and getting very much more involved in the local music thing.
That's actually more a new thing for me, less so for her. But it's going pretty well, right now. We're going to see Frank Black and the Catholics next month - woo! And then, the next night, I get to be general manager at a casino. She said she'd stop by.
And now I'm going out for drinks. Two dollar doubles! Bear in mind, I'm in Canada - that's like 13 cents U.S. Now if I could just get rid of this fucking headache...

Oh yeah, and she got me so interested in this guy... this would be Ron, the - I dunno - MC/ringmaster of the multimedia extravaganza that is the Lullaby Baxer trio. We're going out to see them again next Thursday. On saturday he made a point of coming over and chatting for a bit - asked me my name and whatnot. Yes, knowing local musicians definitely has its perks.
