oh man, i totally forgot to write about the concert that i went to!!! i saw manson last week and he really rocked the casbah. i'll admit that i was never really a huge manson fan. i have antichrist superstar, but i mean who doesn't??? but i'd always wanted to see him in concert, so i went with my friend katie, and it was really freaking cool. the whole night surround the show kinda sucked tho.
well the show was the day after thanksgiving, so being "black friday" i obviously had to work. so i had to work 7-4... gross. what made it even worse was that i ACTUALLY worked 7-5:45, not good at all. so i fly home and pick up katie, mind you that the heat in my car hadn't been working all day so i decided to stop at 7-11 and pick up some anti-freeze thinking that that may have been the problem. well turns out that it was, but i had let it run too dry and my car died. so my dad came and picked us up, and i had to borrow my moms car to go to the show. got to the show on time (thank god) and because katie used to work at axis we were able to cut the big ass line and go right in (ya, that was totally vip and it rocked) saw shelle there and that was cool, but i was suprised that i didn't see more people that i knew.
the first band went on and i was REALLY impressed with them. actually, as i'm just right now noticing that sg has a contest going on with them. the band is "slunt" and they really do rock. two hot chicks with guitars??? shit dude i'm there. they did a really good cover of nirvana's aneurysm, and this really cool move where the girls played each others guitars, i denno, you'd hafta see it i guess. anyways, they rocked and i ordered their cd online cause they impressed me so much. i'll tell ya how it is when i get it.
next was manson. it really sucked that he made the crowd wait over an hour before he went on. everyone was quite pissed. during this time i realised that people at concerts suck really bad. there were so many dicks that would just shove people out of the way so they could get up to there front, and they were really pissing me off. not only that, it got to the point to where there really was a sea of people where if one person moved, everyone in the crowd had to move to accomidate.
well he finally went on, and he just really rocked. wish he had played 1996, but i was satisfied with the show i got. i plan on seeing him again next time he's in town.
isn't it funny that i started this entry about manson, yet i only wrote 3 lines about his performance? oh well
night all
