So I've decided this hockey thing kinda sucks.

I mean, it's great and all. The friends I've made. The places I've been. It's been great.

But driving five or six hours just to work two or three games for lousy money isn't worth it. Between expensing my hotel room and spending money on gas, I'm actually paying to referee a lot of games. Most of you have seen me and know I'm still a growing boy. It takes a lot to feed me. (New craving is curry...old craving is roast chicken from the Amish people in Newtown.)

So from now on, I'm gonna try to stay as local as I can.
Like today, I had Temple and St. Joes. Up and down game. Little bullshit. Great time.

Last night, Bethlehem played Hudson Valley. Nothing but bullshit. Two coaches tossed. Players tossed. A total lack of respect from all participants. Not to be cocky or arrogant, but I'm so above that. Those kids dream of playing in the games I work. Oh well...F them.

After my game tonight I went to the Troc for the Ska is Dead tour. Missed Westbound Train because I was on the ice. Did get to see The Planet Smashers, Mustard Plug and the Toasters. Thankfully, I missed SGR. Not a huge fan of them. Good to see the guys from Mustard Plug again. They're good people.

Anyway, sorry to bore with this post. My last one was more interesting. Go read it and post it if you haven't.

Oh...btw...I'm going to Salem, Mass. for a few days in October. Anyone ever been there?
