So the updates are becoming less sporadic. Sorta.
Anyway, this was supposed to be my weekend off, but Friday afternoon I got a call to go to Richmond to work a UHL game. It's a step up from what I've been doing. Pro hockey. Can't beat it.
The ride down was relatively uneventful. Game was too. Sunday morning I ate breakfast at a killer diner. So much food, so little money.
Let me tell ya, those southern accents are so hot. (on a girl, Ras) Every waitress I ran into said I have a cute voice. No one ever said southern girls are smart either.
The woman who sat at the counter next to me is actually from Montgomery County, not too far from where my ancestors first settled. Small world.
Richmond is a cool town though. There are so many awesome buildings and statues and what not. Unfortunately my camera wasn't in my car like I thought it was. Oh well. Next time.
On the way home I stopped in DC and saw a buddy who used to work at the paper with me. We drove around town and ate lunch at this great bar. Ended up the bartender is from Mt. Airy and went to Central. Small world.
Time to work.
Update:
Yea...so my grandfather died Sunday. I'm bummed, but I'm not. He and I were very close for a very long time and some family shit went down and I hadn't talked to him in...wow...eight years. Still debating whether or not I want to go to the funeral.
