It was an expensive week and one that has been extremely stressful.
Last Saturday I reffed a game in which a high schooler punched me several times. We basically were fighting each other on the ice. The kid is getting suspended from school and won't be attending his graduation.
Following the game I went to the bar and went back to the arena to watch another game. Walking to the building, a seagull shit on my shoulder and right on my new suitjacket.
The game gets over and I head back to the bar. When it's time to square up, my wallet is nowhere to be found. I wander back to the arena and find it in the section we were sitting in, minus $100.
Sunday goes by and I get to see Morrissey. Managed to get a last minute ticket three feet from the stage in a box like the one the two old guys on the Muppet Show used to sit in.
Back to work on Monday to find my paper has decided to put us on ten day furloughs over the summer. That's ten unpaid work days - an entire paycheck in order to save the company money. We have to work four day weeks for ten weeks. By law we're not allowed to have unemployment because they're non-consecutive days.
Then...I go cover a story and on the way back to the office, I get pulled over and hit up for $300 for speeding and a license issue.
