New post....
Well, that's it. I had my last day at my first newspaper job yesterday. Sure it was a weekly, sure it was close to home, and sure it was covering my hometown.
But the money was lousy. Lousy to the point where I couldn't finance a Kia if I really wanted to. The hours were great, but by the time I wrote most stories, they wouldn't be newsworthy anymore.
The times I'd hear "what's the Public Spirit," were too many to count.
It's sad leaving a job sometimes. Kinda like breaking up with someone in a way. There's a whole "it's not you, it's me," that goes along with it.
So life is going to change drastically in the next few days. The new gig has me writing in Jersey, just across the Walt. The commute there won't be fun, either. But a friend of mine works there as well and she's coming in from Doylestown.
Sooner or later, a move is in my future.

Best of luck with the new job.
BTW you'll have to either call my cell, or message me your number cause I think I mistakenly deleted off of my old phone like the idiot that I am.
