Late Night Jazz

I love late night jazz fueled by red wine. Tonight I saw Roy Hargrove @ The Dakota. He was amazing! On Saturday I saw Allen Toussaint @ The Dakota. It's amazing how many well known songs he has written. It was great to see such a legend of the New Orleans music scene.

Got a few good shows this week. Screaming Females on Tuesday, Cold War Kids on Thursday, and Caroline Smith on Friday. Plus, picked up a ticket for My Bloody Valentine today!

So went to the Foxygen show at First Ave tonight. In the middle of the first song the lead singer falls off the stage and down into the front pit. Saw Dawes last night at First Ave and today is The Americarama Tour at Midway Stadium with My Morning Jacket, Wilco, and Bob Dylan. Plus, it's a beautiful day for an outdoor concert!!
