I think that starting my account on christmas says something about me. First I am Jewish, so Jesus is a fictional character to me. Secondly, the way people fall apart during this period is really unhealthy. If only we could not take it so seriously. But so much shit has happened to us during this period when we were little. So many hopes and dreams that blow up in a drunken brawl with you mom and dad. Or just being so poor that xmas was embarrassing.
January first is a hard time, because the drunk drivers are dangerous, and the fireworks and guns going off scare my dog. I have to hold him and cuddle him while he shakes and drools and whines. Not good.
