Having seen Jesus Camp, I have a really hard time with Easter Sunday. I think people realize that my people didn't kill Jesus. But they are a little suspect of a jew at an Easter party. I mean it was for the kids. An easter egg hunt. My seven year old daughter loved it, because they were chocolate eggs. She inherited my chocoholism.
She asked me when we were driving home, "Why did Jesus die? Why did we kill him?"
Well that is just some peoples' opinions. We Jews don't see Jesus other than a fellow Jew who had some new ideas. We don't believe that he died on a cross and three days latter he gets raised from the dead. We don't believe he is our saviour. And we certainly did not kill him. He was a jew, just like us. Infact he was celebrating a passover sedar, on the night he was taken by the soldiers.
"What are we going to do?" --- "Nothing." ---- "Oh, OK. Can I have hot chocolate when we get home?"
"Sure. I will make a cup for both of us."

Easter is about sacrificial love. That can range from dying for mankind to a mom taking time out to give her kid a good time (especially when it includes Chocolate).
It is really only about a bunny and some chicks.
