RUSH at the MGM GRAND in Las Vegas, Nevada!
Tomorrow morning I'll begin the day with a nice drive out to a sleepy little desert town of Hesperia, California where I'll eventually hook up with some old friends and hit the open road to Vegas!! Later that evening we'll take in a show at the MGM Grand Hotel featuring the magic music of Canada's greatest rock band ever -RUSH!
It may interest you to know Rush has a solid fan base all around the world! Some of these fans have even gone so far as to start a fan club RushCon that holds annual get-togethers in honor of the band's music in their hometown of Toronto, Canada. This summer marked the tenth annual event. As a special treat to many American fans this year, RushCon is holding a second mini-event in Las Vegas! Yes!! Yours truly plans to be there.
RushCon during the day and Rush that evening! Even better - afterward the folks from a North American West Coast based Rush fan message board Counterparts are hosting a huge after party in a fabulous terrace suite at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. A magical time is sure to be had by all. I'll be sure to take pictures. Man this is gonna' be great!
PS - I've been a member of this SG website for several years and have yet to run across a single fellow Rush fan here. That's okay though. In a way that makes me feel all the more special for being the one and only mild-mannered Rush representative. Rock on SG!
