so the trip got changed a little bit last minute, and we decided to scrap the roadtrip and go on a mountain biking camping trip instead. it turned out to be pretty much the most excellent trip i've been on in a looong while.
rode about 65km north of Ottawa and camped by the side of the Ottawa River, north of Shirley's Bay. The beach was covered in beautiful big rocks, and the water was gorgeous and warm. we camped half way up the escarpment that surrounded that part of the river.
so i spent four days, with three of the best people i know, biking hard, eating well, laying in the sun, swimming, high, sitting by a campfire. *le sigh* i didn't want to leave. we even "borrowed" a canoe from the YMCA camp down the beach and spent a few hours paddling around the river and rifting with the current (don't worry, we returned it, and nobody ever knew it was gone).
now i'm back in my life again. i don't have a job, despite my best efforts to find one, i finished my summer course and havn't started classes agin yet. i'm bored like it's nobody's business. and i also have no money. the thing is that i never get opportunities like this where i really don' have anything pressing to do, and no money to lean on for entertainment. but i do have about 7 unfinished books, a great bike, a longboard i hardly ever ride anymore, and a mind full ofinsane creativity.
i never stay bored for long
love!
