Hmm, I'm so lazy! I still have like 4 or 5 boxes that need to be unpacked but instead I just sit around on the computer or find some other excuse not to do it. hee hee I'm such a bum.
Today we let the kids out on the back porch to play outside for a little while and all of a sudden I was a daycare!! First, you have to know that our porch is a little bit weird. It's open so that anyone that would want to could just come right in and sit down on the chairs we have out there (which I find fucking weird!). Anyway! So this little kid comes outta no where and just starts talking to us and then starts playing with my kids. I totally didn't mind and I thought he was kinda cute. But then...like 2 more kids show up and start playing too. Ok, I'm still fine. All of a sudden I have this tiny little girl on my porch that some parent just dropped off and asked me "Is it ok if she stays here and plays for a while?". Me, being the doormat that I am said "Sure.". All was well until I looked around and noticed the little girl's brother or father or whatever had gone inside his apt. and just left her out there with me! I was beyond disbelief!! How can someone just leave their kids with a total stranger?! I mean, these people didn't know who the hell I was!! I bet most of them hadn't even seen me before! Needless to say, the kids were running around on my porch outside while I found myself breaking up little fights over the few toys I had. Pretty soon they started going into my house!! I was freaking out. These kids felt so comfortable just entering a total stranger's house! *sigh* It doesn't bother me that they were here at my place. What bothers me are the parents that just don't give a damn and let their kids roam free! It's just insane.
Oh well, if it happens again I'll probably have to say something to their parents and hope I don't get into an arguement. But, I think it's only right that you take care of your own kid, you know? Either way, Gavin and the baby had fun meeting these kids and kinda saw what it was like to have more kids around. I hope Gavin makes some new little friends 'cause his birthday is coming up soon and I wanted to throw him a little party.
