Every time I hurt myself, I get that "Hey do I have a death wish or something, even if it's a small one?" feeling, which was particularly bad after the first major owie. I hope you're mending.

The job won't be a problem, since I work online and can pretty much take my work wherever the Internet access is.

Yeah I've checked out litany.com, thanks for the cevin key link. I like really really short hair. I want it how I had it before, maybe like an inch long, cept its going platinum. Luckily my friend does hair for a living so he only wants a small compensation.

The only problem with the la bret is that if it sits on top of your gums it erodes them away and you have to get a gum graft or your teeth will fall out. Needless to say, I don't have mine in anymore. There's hardly any pain involved. Go for a septum if you're looking for a nice rush. I've grown old of the la bret and I don't really find it appealing anymore... but hey that's just me. Plus you'll have a nice little divet there when you take it out.

Yeow. Yer not one of those guys who likes to crash, are you? I have a buddy who dirt bikes, and he's always telling me about this "great crash I had last weekend. Mud. Log. Rocks ... Man, I was messed up."

I hope you heal.

We're probably gonna see "Love Liza" and "City of God." We've seen pretty much everything else out that looks worthwhile. I recommend "The Quiet American," by the way. Book and movie.

Hey there,

I'll check the Liaisons Dangereuses CD, I've heard the name a few times but never got to listen to what they're doing.
Of course I have almost all the CDs from the Vault (not being pretentious, it's just a fact). I particularly recommend the "Puppy Gristle" one, it's very good ! (you probably already know, just felt like writing it anyway). Really like the Download stuff & platEAU. Been listening to Tear Garden for years as well, etc... I was never really in the Pink Dots but I had the chance to see them once live & they were fantastic (probably due to the sax player who was just too good !).

By the way, do you like Zoviet France & Rapoon ? those guys have made some of the most unbelievable music of the last 20 years or so. When I think of the soundscapes & noises they generated years before the concepts of "sampler" & "loops" saw the light...

Anyway... Did you have your private jet at the age of 5 ??

Well, well... I don't think we are anti-american in Europe. We are just amazed that a dick like George Bush can do whatever he wants, take all the wrong decisions & get away with it. There are so many things to say about that muppet that I don't even know where to start. I just want you to remember that I have nothing against the american people, I know that a lot of you are just obliged to make do with politicians whose least priority is what YOU may want.

First, W's election... Now we laughed ourselves silly that such a "democratic" election can take place in the US. I'm sure Gore (I love him too: imagine having a president called "Gore" - that is too good to miss) , anyway, I'm sure his ass must still hurt big time, being fucked this way !! This was so laughable.

Then comes September 11 & "we must rid the world of terrorism" chant. Even funnier. Translation: "we won't let a few islam extremists make a joke of us" - well, sorry they did, everybody thought the US were untouchable before that date. As expected, extensive bombing didn't stop Al-Qaeda at all, but was surely efficient to prevent some kids from starving (once dead you're not hungry).
"This is the war against Terrorism" ! Pardon me ? Did Bush ever mentionned the ETA (Spanish separatists who have been busy killing innocents for the last 20 years or so) or the IRA, or the Corsica extremists, the Kazhakstan rebels, etc...? No way, they're not targetting the USA !!! Only american interests please !!

Now he's ready to bomb Iraq against all International laws & vetoes, just to make sure he can get a grip on Iraq's oil and have lasting influence in the area.
But don't worry, the worst one is probably Blair: if Bush is Batman, Blair is Robin, useless & being the perfect dog, probably thinking that George will give him the best of the leftovers... The UK is falling apart, the social system is awful, the rail is 30 years behind the rest of the world, the houses are wrecks, poverty spreads big time, only hidden by the big money made in the London City. Of course the Euro is not wanted, all the Brit economy is based on the Pound's might... Nice one Tony, take the people's attention away from your crumbling country's state, you'll stand a chance for the next elections then.

Me ? I'm French. I'm not exactly nationalist as I've been living out of my country for 6 years now. There are a lot of stupid people in France, just like everywhere else. But right now, as much as I don't especially like him, I'm glad Jacques Chirac is the only one who really dared to stand in front of George and give him the finger. Probably high time someone did it.

And all the bullshit "without the americans you would have lost WW2, you're just ingrats" talk we french people get ? America became today's dominating world power by building its might on the reconstruction of Europe twice, nothing was exactly rebuilt for free... In the end, as in every war, it's just poor young guys who are not allowed a word to say that got killed. Whether they're american, english, arabs or whatever, war should really be the ULTIMATE sacrifice.

In the hands of Bush (Senior & Junior), it looks to much like a favourite toy.

And finally, I'd love to visit the US as I know many cool people from there. But then again, I would be "welcome" for the duration of my visa only, and then that would be "take your plane back, now". So many people I know are baffled by those protectionnists laws. Well, whatever.

You want to come to London... You'll probably be very disappointed ! Well, I can't speak for you so maybe you'll just have to try someday. I'd say the first 2 years are fun...!

Cheers

K

in the interest of keeping myself together and getting organized, i have restored my room here to it's original state of being.
after a prolonged period of melancholy, i welcome the simplicity and cleanliness of my domicile.
it's so much easier to be a minimalist if you have a closet to shove everything in. anyone got any big plans over the weekend? confused

i've had this problem since i was a little kid.
i don't hear lyrics very well. hardly ever. even in hip-hop i barely know what people are talking about.
i seem to get more out of instrumental music that basically makes me think. people used to rip on me a lot about this, making it out to be a character flaw or something.
like it...

Hey mate,

Thanks for the info & welcome ! True, I don't meet many Puppy freaks around here in London. Shame that in the UK they seem to be somewhat (and that's an understatement) behind regarding the whole industrial/experimental scene. Anecdote ? About 4 years ago I was at a Front 242 show and when Richard 23 announced "Body to Body" saying: "for those who remember", I was the only one with my girlfriend to cheer & go crazy. There were about 1500 persons staring at us. SCARY.

OK, you're on my list, this is cool. And btw, I also have a SP tatoo !

Cheers

capital hill is a great place to live, there's lots of cute little houses... smae with some parts of eastlake. if you're too near the uw, all the houses are falling apart, and filled with students.

it's very possible to find some place nice. if you don't mind being a little further, ballard and greenlake areas are great too.

Hi. Nice to meet you too.

I had a gig tonight at a local place. Us guys in academia who find it a bit stale decided to take it to a local club. There were a few stale things, but I did a piece on the laptop then improvised a bit with a professor of mine. He played viola through a ton of effects pedals. It was fucking brilliant. He made Jimi Hendrix seem weak (don't kill me for saying that, anyone).

Right, that's right about that Crispin film. He was scouting for talent. I'm sure the audience was a bit baffled.
