hi guys, I'm typing on my phone so I'll make this quick and write a proper blog this evening. Thanks so much for all the lovely comments and messages on my new set! I'm overwhelmed with the response. :) you guys have been really very kind and I've got a busy couple if hours tonight saying thanks to everyone and replying to messages.
Just to clear one thing up-my profile says hopeful since 2006. This is technically true but a bit misleading. I joined and sent in a set in 2006 but I haven't been consistently submitting sets for the last 7 years! I shot with @cherry while I was living in Edinburgh but it wasn't accepted, this was before MR was a thing (yes, I am very old) and after that I didn't put heaps of effort into hopeful-ness for a good while. Just a couple of self shots that just weren't quite good enough.
When I came to Australia I decided to socialise with my local Sg group and got an awesome welcome! Amongst many others I met @countessa and @exkyu and @puffin who were all lovely people shooting really lovely sets and thought well, maybe the time is right to have another go and I'm so glad I did!
Anyway, I have to get up and go to work. I will blog properly tonight.
