at about this time in ten days I will be at heathrow moving from a wee plane to a massive plane en-route to sydney. I'm starting to feel a wee bitty nervous I admit. I'm mostly organised, had a bit of a freaky about insurance until I decided to just get professional photographers insurance for my camera gear and basic insurance for me (eg. cure me if im sick, send me home if someone dies, give me monies if a shark eats my foot) which is much cheaper than insuring every bit of gear with the backpack insurance folk.
I am really excited but I am leaving a lot behind which frightens me a wee bit, mainly my family being so far away (lets face it, im probably not gonna see my dog again (although the internet says that very very old westies sometimes get to 18 and she is only 13 so...) oh dear, double bracket, thats clutzy) as Im very very close with them but I have to go out on my own sometime and now seems as good as any.

But honestly I don't know how I'd go having to make the same decision, I'm a little soft when it comes to animals.
