Sunday has turned into movie watching day for me, so I'm gonna play reviewer again:
Man on Fire - It's a pretty typical thriller, but a good one. The style was kind of annoying. It was very irradic and MTV-like. It made me kind of queesy for a little while until I got used to it. And Dakota Fanning is friggin creepy. Child actors that act like adults instead of children give me the willies.
The Dreamers - For any fans of classic films, Paris and sex...this is the movie for you. Lucky for me I love all three. And I adored this movie. Michael Pitt makes me swoony. Which is strange because he's really not my type, but just his choice of roles (Hedwig, Bully, WM3, The Heart is Deceitful Above All Things, Wonderland) mixed with those pale blue eyes and pouty lips makes me cuckoo.
Mean Girls - Smart teen movies only come along once in a blue moon, so when they do occur you must treasure them. YOU MUST TREASURE MEAN GIRLS! OBEY AND NO ONE GETS HURT!
The Barbarian Invasions - Brilliant, touching, hilarious, depressing, educational, life affirming. That is all and that is that. Check it. Booyakasha.
So, in review, one pretty good movie that you may want to rent on a rainy day if there's nothing else to watch, and three "must sees". In my world, a perfect Sunday.
