Sometimes I just go on movie watching rampages. This was just one of those weekends. Here's what I've watched thus far:
Lion King 1 1/2: I had no intentions of seeing this movie. I thought it was just a way for Disney to further exploit the kiddies with sequal nonsense. But work was really slow friday morning and my co-worker said it had become one of her favorites. I didn't even realize what it was about. It's the story of The Lion King as told by Timon and Pumba. It was really cute and clever. I'll be damned if Timon and Pumba aren't the funniest wart hog and meer cat comedy duo in all the land.
Suicide Club: Another movie that has me even further fascinated by the japanese. What the fuck is going on over there??? Is it complete bizarro world? Suicide Club is a really great movie, but disturbing along the lines of Ichi the Killer and Audition.
The Tune: A full length feature film by famed animator George Plympton. A trippy, bizarre, funny, twisted movie. Great music too.
Scary Movie 3: I love this franchise. I digress.
Freaky Friday: I really enjoyed it. Jamie Lee Curtis is my bitch.
Triplets of Belleville: Unbelievable animation. Unbelievable music. I want it on DVD.
In America: Really sweet and touching movie. Those little girls are so frickin adorable I wanna twist their heads off and then rip off the heads of cabbage patch kids and put their heads in their place. Definatly the first weepy movie for me in a while.
Peter Pan - The new one. Watched it at work. Didn't pay too much attention. But it looked really nicely shot.
The Last Samurai: As annoying as Tom Cruise is, it's a great movie.
