Ok, so my weekend has been nothing but movies thus far. Watching movies and renting out movies. People rent the worst crap. They ask if we have crap in and when we don't have crap they get pissed because they had their heart set on watching crap. Then they say something stupid like, "They don't have anything in this store!" when there are atleast 100 movies on my list in that store that I haven't seen yet. People are lame. And I'm a geek.
Update: So far this weekend I've watched:
The Big Lebowski - Probably my favorite Coen brothers movie....though I'm not a big Coen brothers fan.
Mona Lisa Smile - It was pretty much what I expected, a pure trite estrogen fest, but I didn't know Tori Amos was in it!! It was neat to hear her sing those traditional songs. Her voice sounded fantastic!
Spider - A pretty interesting story told in a way only Cronenberg can...sans the other-wordly grossness he's known and loved for. And Ralph Fiennes was really great in this role.
Audition - This movie turns so sharply from sweet romance to vile, cringing torture it'll make your head spin. Oh that Miike.
Seabiscuit - zzZZzzZZZZzZzzzZ
Kiki's Delivery Service - I think I should have started with earlier Miyazaki movies before I saw Spirited Away, it's a tough movie to top. But Kiki was sweet and I lurve Gigi the kitty.
And no, I don't have a life.
