It's tornado city here. we had three touch down on thursday night. crazy stuff. I was actually out in it. I was out and about when the first siren went off. I didn't really pay it too much mind because they go off every year and nothing ever happens, but I probably should walk home. it started hailing and I ducked into a gas station and talked to the people inside but they didn't have a radio or anything so it was hard to say what was going on. when it stopped hailing I decided to continue home and started walking. lightening was still flashing all over and during one of those flashed I noticed the sky was a really odd color and didn't look to good. I also noticed that there were these white whispy cloulds that were moving in an arc across the sky - not a funnel cloud, of course, but they weren't moving like a normal could moves. I picked up the pace a little and then the wind hit and then it hit again and got really strong. I could hear the sound of the frieght train that everyone always says they hear when a tornado is coming. I took off running. I was 2 blocks from home. when I got there I dashed into the basement and then it hit. howling winds and the doors were shaking. a couple minutes later it was gone. quite the rush.
