Well, things have changed drastically this week.
First off, I was contacted about a job in Cuba, which I'm taking if the offer comes through. Sounds way more interesting than going to Afghanistan at this junction.
Still telling my current employer to blow, because they announced that everyone has to take 40 hours unpaid time off to help squash some budget shortfalls. Fuck that! I came out here to make money not sit on my ass. There are a lot of angry people on this island after that news came out. I smell mutiny.
My parents are pretty happy about the whole "not going to Afghanistan" thing, but I'm just a little disappointed. Either way, Cuba/Afghanistan, both jobs would be an awesome experience.
