CONTEST STILL A PenDING
I asked if anyone can identify my profile iimage. Who it is and what the flick is. The winner (first 5) gets a CDR of my crap (maybe more if I decide to clean out my house)...
Do not post (e mail me your answers)
CLUE its from the late 60s
Clue it has a famous musical group
Clue there is a strong similarity to that of The Great Rock And Roll Swindle"
Clue the actor was a major mad prankster
Speaking of flix I finally saw Grizzly Man "awesome" The film is a perfect compliment to Werner Herzogs other mans Journey into darkness type themes despite being a documentary and pieced from naturalist Timothy Treadwell's films and interviews it unravels like a Herzog flick (which it is). Timothy was an obsessive man out to save the Grizzly but dealing with his own demons as well and quite an odd dude- although he spent 11 years living among the Bears and felt one with them he and his girlfriend were actually killed by a Grizzly (this is evident from the start of the film)-luckily the film never aspires to Faces of Death type tactics and we never see any of this. Me spewing all this info hardly spoils the true elements that make this film beautiful as well as it being passionate and disturbing. Its an amazing character study and would play well alongside Werners epic "Aguirre: The Wrath of God" The extra
short film about the creation of the music "Werner Herzog directing Richard Thompson and others in suggested improv is worth the rental alone. Rent it instead of Big Daddy
