The soundtrack to my morning was: "Bang! Bang! ...speaking Polish... Bang! Bang! ...more Polish..."
You see, they are doing some work on the outside of my building, repairing the siding or something. Of course, they start insanely early, so I'll have an easy time getting up this week. And for those of you who don't live in Chicago, all of the construction workers here are Polish. Which is actually the one reason I don't mind it. Before their job is done, I should know how to say such Polish phrases as "hand me some more nails," "hold that ladder steady, dammit," and "hey, let's make a lot of noise and wake this bastard nice and early today!"

I've got Cesar Chavez stamps! Way to go USPS!

I've also got a busy, action-packed weekend coming up. I'm not sure I'm ready for it...
