At last, our place seems to be coming together. It has a very retro feel to it. And it faces the woods behind the building so it looks like we're in some sort of mountain cottage and on vacation. Yes, there's very much the sense that this place does not belong to us, we'll have to give it back soon. But it is ours. The cats have settled in for the most part.
Today I had lunch with my boy and his friend Chris and they jumped off to chris' to, "play guitar and/or study for finals" but I suspect they were off to play Zelda.
So I went to the coffee heaven I call my home away from home, read a pointless, yet charming little book about Slyvia Plath written by her college roommate and half of Wuthering Heights for the (extreme high numer here)-th time. Chatted briefly with the adorable shy guy with the apple and the kid who slings the java. We were alone in there today. Everyone is laying low.
Came home because my contacts were bothering me because of all the just-been-mowed grass all through the city. I watered my flowerless plants and changed the batteries in my pda and felt old. So I put on the last Bangs ep and danced around for awhile.
It's good to be home.
