I'm trying to write a personal statement about what I've achieved at Sandhurst, why I'm suitable for the Royal Artillery and why they should take on a dapper chap such as myself. I don't want it to be boring as hell like most of them.
Any suggestions?

good luck!
Id also not bother with the letter, instead send a lovely one to the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards.
Easily done, just enclose a copy of your subscription to "country life", and a picture of your favourite polo outfit, and they'll snap you up!!
In seriousness, I'd try to focus on the the level you feel you have developed during training, focusing in particular along the lines of how you enjoyed facing fresh challenges, and, no offence here, by the way- play on your age, too. from my assessments of subbies arriving at my regt, id imagine your one of the older men there, so use it to your advantage- life experience prior to joining, level of maturity, that kind of thing. Basically, make it hard for them to think of a reason to NOT take you.
Wish you luck with it mate, all the best.
