Eeek! Way too long since my last post!
Shot a couple sets with Brixton in KC yesterday. She and her buds are so much fun! I don't know which is more odd -- that I have such a great time with "the girls", or that they put up with a middle-aged dweeb like me. Whatever it is, I'm not complaining! Life is good.
I was supposed to be going to St. Louis today to shoot with Justicia, but the weather decided to be uncooperative (read 4" of snow!), so we're going to shoot tomorrow instead. She's got what sounds like an awesome location, so that should be a blast. I'll get to meet Tart then, too, which will be great! Then next weekend, Princass is making a huge road trip and we're going to shoot a couple sets. Even more fun!
Tuesday my wife and I will be celebrating our 24th anniversary. We're old enough for most of the SG's to be our legitimate children! We're going to be going (back) to St. Louis to stay in a really nice hotel, enjoy a good dinner, and just have some time by ourselves. Our 17 year old son was like "Yeah, whatever."
My mom's in the hospital, and not doing real well -- she's 88 and, well, failing. She was doing great until about 4 months ago, living all by herself up in the mountains of Colorado, but age kinda caught up with her, and she's basically decided not to fight it any more. I can't feel too bad about that -- she's had a great life, and now she's just tired, and it's just not as fun any more. My guess is that she won't make the year (maybe not even the month), and that's ok -- we should all go so peacfully and happy. Still, it IS my mom.... So I may be making a flight out to San Francisco sometime soon, and on short notice. Ahh well. Life goes on.
Well, that was depressing! LOL I'm actually in a pretty good mood, so don't read this as maudlin as it sounds.
I'll end with some kitty pictures from yesterday. These are Harold (the three legged kitty) and Maude (Himalayan/Siamese mix?). Hopefully at least some of you understand the refernce.
The cat's in the bag!
and Maude was feeling grumpy.
