Well today I finally got my day of the dead tattoo finished and I couldn't be more pleased with it. I was a bit anxious this morning because I know the area getting closer to my hip had been quite sore before, but to my surprise I actually managed to relax and it was the easiest sitting I'd done. I got a bit of touching up and shading done but most importantly the scroll added with my SXE, something which is quite important to me and a representation of how I want to live my life. I've cared and worried about what people have thought of me my whole life, too much than what is healthy. I know some people may think this is a big commitment to get tattooed, but I've done this for me basically and I see it as a positive thing! I need to stop worrying what people will think or judge me for it.
After this I went into town to make a start on the dreaded Christmas shop (I really hate crowds) finally managing to sort my secret santa present out for my friend next week, I wont say what it is on here in case anyone reads it, but I think I've done well, especially after struggling on deciding what to get. I also had to pop into my local comic book shop to pick up volume 19 of the walking dead graphic novels, I'm actually really excited to read it later (haha pretty lame right). I also got two more of the pop vinyls for my collection and a Black Mask figurine as I'm really into Batman: Arkham Origins at the moment, despite being really bad at it!! I do like Black Mask though, I think he's quite a clever villain. Also picked up some more Bepanthen cream for the tattoo, I've always thought it works quite well and seems to cool my skin down if that makes sense.
So that's been about it for today, I've finished all my hand ins for uni now up till Christmas, but do have an essay and some readings to do for the new year but nothing pressing which is a nice change. Feeling pretty good right now, life seems to be going well (touch wood) plus I feel like I've made some new friends on here which I'm enjoying talking to. Hope you all have good weekends whatever your doing.
