I'm back from DC - yay. Have been for a while actually - only went for four days and since then I've been here.
Let's see - updating ....
Work is normal. I'm not bored (yay!
) anymore which I was for about two weeks - not fun.
I've been house hunting with my sis and I think we've found one (it has a pool! although the manager wants to have it filled in
). She (my sis) has gotten a heck of a lot better about not mothering me and trying to be less prude (very very important!). She actually laughs about the "parking in rear" signs I always snicker at.
I'm off to Seattle this weekend (yes, again...) and hope to have an excellent time. It kind of sucks because every once in a while, I really really really miss my friend up there (rather than the steady missing that normal happens). Sort of like that Monty Python fish dance skit at the end with John Cleese and his halibut. *Wham* right upside the head and into the canal.
DC was awesome. I stayed with my friend from college and got to meet his boyfriend (who is a good'un which I'm glad of!). And my trip consisted of:
I walked all around the Mall the first day and got caught in a thunderstorm so went to the Freer museum of asian art. Sooooooo pretty!
And then off to Apex for dancing with the hottest gay men in DC! However, I do not like simulated sex acts in my dancing!
Do not dance with me like that! That is groddy! Even if you are a very hot woman!
The second day, I met up with another friend from college and we ate lunch and went to the zoo and spent a pretty good time there. His disapproval of one of my friends does not sit well with me, nor does the friend's disapproval of this guy. Bah. Silly things. Then we watched the pride parade and I met a friend of mine (totally accidentally!) from the church I went to during high school!
How very bizarre!!!! And yet very cool!! Stayed home the rest of the night and watched Penn & Teller's Bullsh*t because we were so exhausted.
Last day there (supposedly), met up with my friend's friends for lunch and an exhibit on the gospel of Judas (pretty neat!) and then headed off to meet my aunt and spend some time with her. I ended up spending a good bit more time than I thought I would because my flight got cancelled.
And I had to wake up at 3:30 the next morning and try to catch another flight. Ooof.
Other than the sucky flights both ways, it was a really fun trip!!
And now for more fun to come!

I hate short work weeks. It messes me up for the following week. Three days off is the most I can handle.
