Sunday we were suppose to have our new fridge delivered between 5 and 7. They show up at 7:40 and they show me that the fridge they have on the truck has a big scratch on the front. I refuse delivery and they tell me that they will call Monday with a new delivery date. I come home from work pissed because they havent called. We call them and they say they dont have another one but they could put touchup paint on the one I refused. I said you dont pay $1200 for fridge with touchup paint all over the front. They tell me that they are just a delivery service and all they can do is cancel the delivery. We need to go back to the store for a refund. I call the store yesterday and they tell me there records show that it was delivered. I tell the whole story and they call the delivery people to verify it was not delivered. She calls back and says its in the process of being cancelled so we cant refund your money or credit your card. She tells me to call Tuesday. I call today and Im told that they cancelled the purchase but instead of crediting my card they are going to give me a gift card for the full amount so that I can pick out a new fridge. So I have to go down there tonight to do that.
The store is Best Buy. I have bought a ton of stuff from them over the last few years and have no complaints. I cant believe they are not offering me some discount or something after all the trouble.
