I realize I'm really bad at updating this, and responding to everyone's comments. I'm going to make an effort today.
Things are going well. The band is going well. Currently, our bassist Jon is playing with Jack's Mannequin in California, which is, from what I understand, a side project started by the lead singer of Something Corporate. He came back for a couple weeks to rock with us, but alas, he must go back to Cali for a while. In the meantime, we are continuing to rock. One of our two guitarists is subbing on bass for Jon now, and we'll continue to play live. This week, we'll be playing a three show sprint with Karmella's Game in Richmond, DC, and Baltimore. Check the webpage for dates and times and come support. I'd love to meet some new people.
I'm very happy with the band right now, and for this reason, I will probably not be jumping ship on Richmond in the immediate future. This may disappoint some people who live in Richmond.
As far as Multi, my solo endeavor, goes, I'm in the process of rerecording my favorites with the help of someone who actually knows what they're doing. Goodbye low quality. Hello something I can sell. And sell is what I will do when the tracks are complete. Mmmhmmm.
My life isn't entirely rosy. I cannot drive anymore until I pay 800 impossible dollars to the dmv for assorted notes of negligence on my part. We won't get into that. I'm a trainwreck at 26. So it goes...
Because of that, my car is parked indefinitely, and I had to go on pick-up only status at my job because I wouldn't have been able to keep a set schedule while depending on others for rides. Needless to say, it's not entirely bad. I work when I want, and don't work when I don't want to. I would like to snag another part time job in the Carytown area soon though. I said soon, not immediately. Trysty is loving the free time. I've been working the weekends and enjoying my week. I doubt this will last long.
Not dating anyone new, and aside from a few stupid seasonal crushes, I'm not interested in anyone. And that's okay. My ex, who I still live with, has a new girlfriend, and that's also okay. I don't feel pressured to get into another relationship. I've spent the majority of my years single by choice, so I'm used to it and its joys. I wouldn't mind some free sushi though, or maybe just a fucking hug.
I promise to try and keep this thing updated more often, that way I won't have to write these long, vague, summaries, but thank you all for the birthday wishes and gifts. Love you guys as much as an unaffectionate old hag can.
