Finally set up studio time with Jason LaFerrera for my project, Multi. Jon Sullivan from Rockbot is going to play bass for the demo, and I haven't asked my first choice drummer yet, but I'll get around to it...maybe today. I could just play drums myself, but I'm somewhat out of practice (I quit the band in May and have practiced twice since then...). Besides, I want someone with a little more flavor in their chops. I know my shortcomings. I'm really excited about having my stuff recorded by someone other than myself. The Roland digital 880EX has brought me nothing but happiness, but I'm no sound engineer (not YET) so it's time to spend a little green and get a better sound. This is the only thing that means anything to me right now.
I don't want to complicate my little world with boys that have big eyes, and secrets, and glorious ways to make me blush. These days I only blush when told I'm talented. And I think I'm on the right track with that.... I gave up wanting to be pretty. This site may not end up being the best way to promote my music, but god, it's a way. I'm sorry my pictures are not "artsy enough"... or "trashy enough".... or "sullen enough". People will know me through my music...not through my pictures. Being pretty was never a dream. Transcending that always will be.... and you'll see...I will. I have to.
I just started listening to this guy, Jesse Malin . His album, The Fine Art of Self Destruction, is absolutely gorgeous. I guess he would probably be stuffed into the Alt-Country genre, being on tour with Ryan Adams... but I don't hear much country (Ryan Adams' new album isn't at all country-ish for that matter). Take my word for it, he's pretty awesome. He's from New York, and almost all of his songs have something to do with New York, and you may think you won't be able to relate if you don't live there, but you will. Unless you're hiding something vitally human... and you shouldn't.
It's 18 degrees outside. The world is beautiful...even in it's ugliest hour. If you want to refute that, go to another girls' page. And shame on you.

It is so inspiring to be able to do what you love. Kudos to commencing the asskickin with the music, girl! I think that the site will be a good place to start off with exposure for your music. You got my attention and the attention of every person who comes to check out your rockin' set or peruse your amazingly deep realizations about life. Your words resonate. You, my dear, are the greatest side effect-free pick me up....and I am hard to pick up

Ooooh, studio time. uber-shibby! is it, like, a real studio, or just a basement job? Whats it called?
