so, someone pawned a stolen computer to buy some illegal substances. does this indicate a *problem*? i think it may...offer your philosophical ponderings in response to my question.
The documentary might have been on public tv at some point, but now it's on dvd. I rented it at Hollywood video (if you can believe that). So you should check it out. Be forewarned.. it is in German with subtitles.
Glad you like Ministry and Angelina Jolie. Doesn't get any better than that!
I had a chance to see her last summer in Hollywood when she was appearing at her premiere for Tomb Raider. I was literally staying around the corner at this hotel. Unfortunately my wisdom teeth decided it was time they needed to be taken out and I was in to much pain to stand in the crowd to wait for her to make an appearance, so I went to a deli down the street and had some soup. Now I kinda regret it. Had to settle on watching her on the Tonight Show that night instead.
Pawning is one thing, but stealing then pawning= definete problem. Is this someone close to you?
so, the dorms it is. yay! i'm kinda freaked out about the whole idea, but i know that it's the best decision that i can make at this point. it will be a tremendous opportunity that i may not be offered any other time or place during my life.
free high-speed internet access means i'll be around...
so, i'm considering moving to the dorms at school to save TONS of money. it won't be as private, of course, but i could pay for it with student loans and not have to worry about paying anything back for a few years or so. what do you think???
btw - my last day on SG is tuesday the 10th. i'll be back, but probably... Read More
i say go with the dorms, its like a party every night. i feel you about the student loans, i just took out 41K last week, uping my total debt to the government to over 60K.
BTW i don't see much difference between selling your soul to satan and getting a student loan from the government, you're going to get burned either way.
It's a good ting knowing if you go out and do good that you WILL be taken care of. Believe it.
Teacher: One who inspires, guides, enlightens, motivates; tireless scholar
It's true that there are very few people more important than our teachers. On one hand it is a shame that they make so little in compensation, but then again, it keeps only the true of heart in the profession.
oh, and *i am a minion of the king of bored's kingdom*
two nights ago, i dreamt that i became involved in a skirmish at a local cvs drugstore because they didn't have what i wanted and some cute guy jumped out of nowhere to beat the living shit out of the manager who was harrassing me to get out of the store. then came some weird-ass mutated butterflies that were eating everything in sight, including people.... how many times must we cry
before we no longer let them lie
killing our souls to keep them by
lying down quietly when they say "die"
the winds of change would keep us free
if the truth we would let ourselves see
and these fked-up lives we would quickly flee
far behind, all alone, they would be.
I know what you mean. And to an extent, words are just that. Words. But it's something more when they come from you, obviously. You pack behind them a lot of power and meaning. That is the definition if a true writer. To leave the essence of their souls, of their beings on mere words, turning them into something entirely different.
They then become keys, that can unlock doorways to dimensions far beyond our comprehension or understanding. They become emotions that -feel- rather then simply -read- I stopped writing in my journal because I think it may have scared some people. I have a lot of rage and hatred inside of me. My soul is shrouded by constant darkness. I close my eyes and see flames. I'd like to share my pain and misery with someone. Though it's hard to find one who can understand it, let alone take it.
Check your e-mail. I've sent you a message. I hope you can enjoy the rest of the weekend my friend. And perhaps I'll hear from you soon. Right on, Tryphyna.
