So, I went to go see 2012 this weekend. I thought it would kind of delve into the whole Mayan calendar thing but it didn't. About 5 minutes into the flick stuff starts going South--literally. Of course tons of CGI but what caught my eye, as we were sitting in the theater, is that one of the MANY over head shots of California falling into the ocean panned over a building. I quickly recognized that one of the buildings was the theater we were currnently sitting in. Then, even stranger, about 2 minutes later I saw MY apartment building collapse, burn and then topple into a very angry-looking Pacific Ocean.
Gotta say, it was strange watching that.
So, overall it was great special effects and John Cusack is always pretty good.
No plot whatsoever.
