Today I realized that I love giving people compliments.
To see people's face get all colorful. Smiles. Happiness in their voice.
It's great.
I especially like complimenting people on the internet. Complete strangers. I love to listen to their stories and offer them the kindness that they've needed but haven't found.
It seems it's gotten to be the "norm" to NOT talk to strangers. Rather, to completely ignore them seems better to the "average person." There aren't so many friendly faces as there once used to be.
I pride myself on being so welcoming to people I meet. I love meeting new people! When someone is having a bad day, I am really bad at consoling them. (giving them hugs, crying with them, etc.) I am much better at telling them how good they look that day, that they are one of the best people I know, etc. Compliments FTW!
This may have been the way I was raised - I'm not sure.
But I'm proud of myself for who I've become.

We'll be getting them between 4-5pm today. And trust me, there will be LOTS of photos later, since I leave on Friday for the states and won't see them for a month.
