How does that happen? Did they join back under a different user name?

I've seen the staff un-zot people before, but usually it's only if there was a severe misunderstanding.

I agree with all of the above and also thought that zotting was permanent... especially if it involved someone offending someone directly.
I'm not asking about the details, but admit to being very curious...
