JOB UPDATE: The job is posted and it should be locked down by the end of the year. This is awesome as my current employer plans on reducing my total comp next year while still asking me to do the same frackin work! Bastards. So, I negotiated a January start date at the new job so that I could collect the PTO that I am owed as well as my 2010 bonus and the paltry one-time payout they're offering for reducing my pay. I will take all of that in cash. Thank. You. And then I will leave.
This is great because I designed this job over the last 18 months and have negotiated my ass off to get it working. I will have complete control of my schedule, my workload, my staff, and what I am measured on for success. The flip side is that my new boss' entire career will be based on whether or not I can deliver as promised. No pressure.
Woo the frackin hoo!
