I came home from Chicago to a basement flooded with crap - the literal kind - and that was just a bonus to the bill I had to pay to fix the wife's Rover. Between the as yet unreimbursed hotel bills in Chicago, the Rover bill and weekend plumbing rates last week set me back over $2k. Merry Effin Christmas! I wanted to buy the wifey something nice - after all we've been married for 19 years as of the 21st - but she'll have to settle for the fact that her Rover runs correctly now. Damn, damn, damn. It's hard not to feel like a loser when you can't even buy a nice gift for those you love. . .
Anyway, thanks to everyone for the recent comments and apologies for not responding. I used the work laptop in Chicago and am pretty sure that logging on to SG would send my career dissipation light into overdrive.
Anyway, that's all for now. I'm sure next week will be better (although I get no more dinero until the 24th). Gotta love livin' paycheck to paycheck on six figures. . . I need to learn how to save.
