Yes I'm lame and it's been over a week since I've posted a journal enrty but what ever.
We played a show last nite at this christian run venue called the monkey wrench. It was pretty cool except for the fact that we had to sign a contract type thinger that pretty much said we would'nt swear. The set up of the place was pretty cool,good sound. Me and the bass player(jake) felt that we played like shit cuz our drummer kept on missing his cues which in turn fucked us up. Kelsey held it together pretty well. I wanted to kill cuz my strap broke and my attempt's to fix it kept failing, so that sucked ass.
So I have'nt been on her a whole lot lately cuz last friday I met a grrl
thru the web site Punk Connect.com, the web site it pretty cool except most of the people on there are like 14 or 15 no lie. She sent me a message cuz she noticed I was from wisconsin and was wondering if I knew her best friend's boy friend who is from wisconsin. From there we just started to get to now each other little bits at a time,chatting on yahoo for hours on end. We both really like each other a lot and it fucking sucks that she lives in St louis. I guess the cool part is that I'm taking the Greyhound in like 12 day's to go visit her. It;s weird sometimes how 2 people can bond so fucking quickly sometimes. The shitty part of this whole 2 people digging each other story is I can't leave where I live cuz I'm tied down by 3 rocking bands that I'm in and she can't move here cuz she joined the Job Corps so she can get job training to become a mechanic. She going to try to get placed as close to me as possible but I don't think it's gunna be close enough. So I guess we'll see what happens after I come back from St louis.
My cell phone's being a fucking bitch so I'm not happy about that but considering what I've got going for me I think I'm doing ok. Have a good weekend. Later. =troy=

wow, good luck with that thing with the girl! i have dated long distance and let me tell you, it fucking blows. i met this cartoonist i 'm a fan of when he was touring with his show. we were instantly like glue, but he lives in california and i live in milwaukee. so for 7 months, we dated. i'd fly out there once a month for 4 days at a time. shit's not cheap. it was too much bullshit, so i broke it off, but we're still friends, so that's cool.
then i met a guy on here from indiana. coolest dude and we have so much in common, but i learned my lesson once. it really sucks for me. there are NO more dateable guys in this city, but i can't date someone who lives elsewhere.
so, i just hope things work out better for you than they did for me.
