Good news: The new roommate (her parents, I should say) has sent her check to me, which pretty much makes it official.
Bad news: My bank has put a hold on the check until Wednesday, thus putting a hold on the progress of the whole thing.
Now I'm both happy that this is following through, but frustrated as well due to my bank holding things up. I should explain though. The new roommate is a 21 year old girl from Canada moving here for college, and her parents are paying for the everything. Now, I asked for first and last month's rent, which totals $700. They sent me a check for $3450. That includes the amount that I requested, and the rest I am suppose to wire to a travel agent for the girl. I'm both flattered and taken aback by this. I'm amazed that they put enough trust in me to go through with that much money. I guess they just see it as business (a doctor and an accountant), but me being a simple blue collar worker, it's a little different. They're very lucky that it's me that they're dealing with, because most people that I know would simply take that money and run with it. Anyway, they FedEx-ed the money Friday, and I got it right after work and rushed straight to my bank before it closed. Naturally, I knew that I would have to wait until the next business day for it to clear, which would've been today. But due to the large amount, my bank had to put a hold on it, and said that it would be available Wednesday. Now, this just sucks. We now both have to wait two extra days to get the ball rolling. I swear, if it's not one thing, it's another. Even the simplest things can't seem to go smoothly.
Well, I guess while that's happening, it gives me more time to make some last minute touches to her room, and my bathroom. Mainly, rework the bars in her closet, and replace the vinyl floor in the bathroom. And FINALLY get my AC wire repaired.
I think I decided to get over the thing with my best friend and his new "wife". What's done is done, and I can't do anything but accept it and hope that things remain smooth for them. Now, she's in town while he deploys to Afghanistan for the third time (by choice, crazy bastard). We're suppose to get together some time this week, so I'll go over my concerns with her then, and make sure we're on the same page.
The workout routine seems to be going well. I think my muscles reached a stopping point in growth though, which means that it's time to step it up a notch. Here's some the progress so far.
Warning: Nudity to ensue

Not exactly my favorite pictures, I'll try taking more this weekend if I see more progress.
Well, the work week is over and my weekend begins. Until next time, remember this sound advice...

Tonight is the beginning of Passover, so that may be a reason they are holding the money at the bank. Not sure but could be. I dont have work until Thursday, this is how I know
