How the dim-witted woman screwed up the easiest haircut known to man is beyond me. Hell, it was gonna be short anyhow, but after her botch-job I just told her to shave the damned thing. And so she did. And now I look like fucking Anton Lavey--though a little less sinister, I hope.

Can't decide yet if I like it or hate it.

Well, you'll just have to hang out at Trader Joe's more frequently then, won't you? There are definitely cute cashiers at my local Co-Op. Tragically, they are all 10 years younger then me, and it makes me feel like a dirty old woman.

And thank you for the comment on my set. Looking back there are a lot of things about it I would change. And frankly, I look better now, anyway! Recently, I've been sort of tempted to try again. I'd have to find a photographer to shoot it; that set was shot by my ex-boyfriend to whom I no longer talk much, and he left SG because he hates it. Who knows what will happen?

And the only reason to go to Modesto these days is to get tattooed. wink

I can't stop listening to the debut CD by this neo-psychedelic band outta Brooklyn, Silver Summit. The music's sort of... hypnotic. I saw them live at the Doug Fir Lounge here in Portland a couple weeks ago, and they were amazing.

Hey, thanks for the comment.

Shooting a new set is a constant topic of conversation. My ex was a badass photographer and there was talk of him shooting something for me. That's all any of it ever was was talk. I need to get in with a staff photographer, but now I'm a bit put off by the process of member review. I feel like it's rather unlikely that I would get a set purchased that way, but perhaps I don't know enough about it.

LIGHT--IN THE SEASON OF DARKNESS

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times

That classic opening to Charles Dickens A Tale of Two Cities rings loud in my ears this morning. Apart from the recent election of Barak Obama to the American presidency, though, I admit its hard to find the best is these particular timeswhat with world economies in freefall;...
