I'm not sure what the restrictions are for going to Cuba as a Canadian, but I think that in the U.S. you have to have a student visa to visit. I think there are other exceptions.
Sure, I would like to visit Cuba. Cuban Spanish is spoken very quickly, like other island forms of Spanish.
I'm sure UC Berkeley would welcome any Canadian with open arms, although you probably would have to pay out-of-State tuition, which would really, really suck, considering the outrageous cost of a college education nowadays.
