hello all you wonderful people
did i mention that we have two new boys in the family?
we went to Tree House on October 30th to donate some of the medical supplies (syringes, needles, etc) that we still had from our older cats that passed on recently and to just hang out and visit with the kitties. figured it would be therapeutic, as i was (am) still pretty raw emotionally about losing Huxley.
we were there for about 4 hours.
went and had dinner, came home, and couldn't stop thinking about these two brothers we'd met. got in the car the next morning, headed back there, and adopted them both.
they're about 8 mos old now, were found living in a scrap yard, and these two guys were the last of the litter. since we brought them home on Halloween, we named them after a couple of 19th century horror writers... the grey one is Howard, the little black one is Edgar.
they've been so good for us. it's crazy having kittens again! after living with older cats for so long that had seen it all, having wide-eyed excitement and general craziness is really fun. they are super playful and love each other very much - always super interested in what the other is doing...
anyway - that's the best thing that's been happening in my life lately. wanted to share. i hope all of you are doing well!
