Well I got to the gym for the first time in "double-oh-seven" yesterday and I could see that "resolutions" were in full effect. The place was packed with people in new multi-color outfits and a look of new goals reached and barrier broken down, pity only roughly 15% will last to the summer. I've seen it every year sine I started working-out in college, you get this huge influx of new bodies and within a month half are gone never to be seen again, why? Unrealistic expectations. For some reason that is completely beyond me most of the noobs I have met are under the impression that if they do not spend 3 hours a day five days a week in there, they are failures. How any human could be in a gym for upwards of 15 hours a week I don't know. So for everyone out in resolutionland I would advise taking a hint from "What About Bob" and taking baby steps.
I love the movie "Brick" and think everyone out there should give it a chance.
I saw the "Rollins Show" last night and it was dynamite, say what you will about his transition into Black Flag and the musical direction of the band thereafter, but the have to admit that he's and intelligent man with a sharp sense of humor. If you have a chance to read some of his work I would suggest "Get in the van" A tour diary from his early years as frontman, a must for any self inflicted punk.
I posted this picture in my group but I wanted to be sure everyone got to see it. A rare photo on a rescue ship deck of an embalmer "preping" a Titanic victim, what an awesome shot (on a lighter note to you think it was that pussy Jack Dawson? Haha)
