Growing-up in a small town it's very easy when you're young to completely detest it. And so once the shackels of high school are removed so is all reason for staying, right. I got out even before I finished school and my younger brother came with me, although we both developed serious longing issues while we were away we both feel better that we left when we did. It took me a while to realize one simple point, the security factor. It is deceptivly easy not to leave a town in which you have grown-up in, you know all the people, have loads of friends, easy girl hook-ups, and most important an environment that you are 100% familiar with. It's kinda like mixing a black hole with a security blanket. I find it hard to imagine never having tested yourself in life, always taking the easy path and never leaving the protective radius of what you already know. The really depressing part is that if you don't leave before 20 you're trapped for life, and I can attest to more than just a few of these. At the close of the day you face forward or you face the possibility of shock and damage.

Now that I've spent two years (ish) away from my hometown, I kinda wanna go back. Do you ever feel that way?
And kudos for actually calculating my feeling better capacity.
