Ahhh the ups and downs of real life....
I went to an outdoor concert in the summer with the kids and one of my friends band was playing, they are punk and I thought the kids would like it. One of their first songs of the day was about mortgages..I turned to my hubby and said "well , this is where we are, all broken down punks now bitching about mortgages...weird eh"?
The long weekend was boring at parts, sweet at other times, when I caught the boys brushing babygirls hair and talking to her all soft and sweet...After a quiet Sunday at home which was lovely , I realized on Monday that we HAD to something with them. They were all wild and needing an outlet for all the energy but the weather was off putting , so I came up with a plan to take them swimming at the Y...after getting them all stoked, and packing bags and driving there..we waited in line for 15 minutes which is hell with three excited kids ..only to be told at last minute that they were "at capacity"...
So we drove around city with three bawling kids trying to figure out what to do with them. That when I found a communtiy centre that was open and they had open gym that day, so we tumbled on mats, played basketball and a bit of soccer, it was funny! Evelyn , at 20 months ncan actually kick a ball , WITH CONTROL, all the way down gym and get it in goal!!! the ball comes up past her knee yet she handles it like she has been doing it forever...hahah
Then last night, after many little puddles of water sprang up in the basement...we discovered that this is something we cannot fix on our own. At first we thought it was snow run off and maybe this house (80) years old , just didn't have a good seal anymore, we thought it was a tiolet seal last week , which we replaced....when the sewage came up from the drain and flooded out basement , we realized WE NEED HELP..so now we are waiting on plumber, we can't use any water till they come , which is hard with three little ones...PLUS he said its $150 just to walk in the door and we might be looking at 800 to a grand to snake the pipes...we so don't have that to spare..in fact it our car money we have been saving...
wipes down the toilet seem to be to blame....
we just might have lost our chance at buying our SUV that we have been saving for (to replace our rusty shit box mini van with no heat)...a few months of saving and going to auctions to find the right vehicle for us, one that we could drive the kids about with that we don't have to worry about breaking down, or dressing the kids in snowsuits and sleeping bags ...ALL DOWN THE DRAIN , literally....due to wipes ?!?!?!?
ahhhh....life. its good and bad, sometimes all at once.
