Off to the races!!!! WOOOOOT. We are taking Desmond, our 4 year old to his first drag racing show ever. Its a big deal to us as it is a big part of our lives we finally get to share. Karl my better half builds some of the fastest motors for these guys and his Dad and his step Dad are old drag racers and Karl even built the motorplex we are going to when he was in college.....in fact cars and shit is how Karl and I hooked up years ago....
I wanted to buy an old Beetle to take racing as it is a cheap car to convert to make it fast and I knew the motor was so easy that I could learn to do it myself.he helped me buy it and build it and well , 12 years later, mortgage and three little ones and we are still going strong. I had to hang up my racing boots for a spell but we daydream about building a dragster for me to drive and WIN soon.....

I wanted to link the song "Shirley Muldowney" from L7 but couldn't find it but thats what I always blare in the car as we enter the motorplex as it gets me all fired up ...it would have been perfect for this blog but I am e-tarded.. She is my hero, the first lady of drag racing and I got to meet her once right after she broke Canadian records for speed 5 years ago...she has since retired after 35 years of kicking ass.....
